On the evening of December 8, 2021, fearless and fabulous individuals convened once again to commemorate the First National Lesbian Rights Conference (FNLRC) held 25 years ago. It’s been 25 years since these brave individuals dared to come out and raise their voices. More than two decades have passed since these brave women made themselves seen and heard.

GALANG joined FNLRC convenors and delegates, together with younger advocates and activists for a night of nostalgia, sharing of experiences in the movement, and connecting FNLRC’s legacy in the present.

FNLRC@25 — a celebration of the bravery of the people who showed the world that “lesbian love and sex are natural, and lesbians are essentially ordinary people!”
