In celebration of International Women’s Day, the LBTs in the area organized and sponsored—for the very first time—a public event dedicated to their mothers, sisters, partners, and all the special women in their lives. Many women and youth from the community took a break from their household chores to attend the LBT-sponsored film showing on (read more)»»» In celebration of Valentine’s Day on February 14, 2010, GALANG organized a film showing of the classic lesbian flick, If These Walls Could Talk 2, followed by a brief discussion on lesbian safer sex practices led by Ging Cristobal of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC). GALANG started the New Year with a second visit to Likhaan Center for Women’s Health Inc., a feminist NGO that provides women with free primary health care, on January 5, 2010.
