Countries all over the world should unite and stand with persons living with HIV (PLHIV), and to recognize that there is a collective need to strengthen our healthcare systems. The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed that we are not fully equipped to handle new health crises. Along with this, the marginalization of some groups, such as PLHIVs are exacerbated by our unpreparedness. TLF Share’s study showed the increased vulnerability of Filipino PLHIV’s during this pandemic.

Our current situation should be the final wake up call to our governments and communities to improve support, increase awareness, and funding not only on HIV/AIDS but to our overall healthcare system. We need to take care of each other and leave no one behind.
