Today marks the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a landmark document that proclaimed the inalienable right of all persons to dignity. This is without distinction to race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth, or other status. This also includes persons of diverse sexual orientation, gender identity or expression (SOGIE).
